Here are just a few that might help you on your way to reaching Hispanics around you. View the examples below and carefully follow the suggested pronunciations.

Where are you from? ¿De dónde es usted? Deh dohn-deh es oo-sted.
I’m from . . . Soy de . . .  Soy deh . . . 
I don’t understand. No entiendo. / No comprendo. No ehn-tee-EN-doh. / No comb-PREN-doh.
How do you say . . .        in Spanish? ¿Cómo se dice . . .      en español? COH-moh seh DEE-seh . . . 
Excuse me. ¡Perdón! Pear-DOHN.
Can you help me? ¿Puede ayudarme? ¿Pweh-deh ah-yoo-dar-meh?
Sure. / Of course. Claro. / Claro que sí. Klah-roh. / Klah-roh keh see.
