Training Spanish Pastors

We are excited about the start of the El Ministerio Bible Institute. This fall, God is bringing laborers together to provide pastoral training in Spanish!  Baptist Church Planters sees a great need for solid, fundamental, and Baptistic theological education in Spanish to be made affordable to Latino men to be trained for the ministry.  Because of a financial gift, BCP is able to provide the first of several such courses this fall in cooperation with other agencies. The most exciting part is that these courses will be placed on DVD for a very convenient and affordable way for men to be trained for the ministry all over the Spanish speaking world.

Missionary Bruce Burkholder with Editorial Bautista Independiente will be teaching the first course this fall on hermeneutics.  Mr. Burkholder was a church planter in Mexico City for several years before joining EBI to write Spanish theological education curriculum.

Chris Brown with Gospel Literature services has offered his expertise in recording and producing.  He and David Anthony from BCP will be attending to record and to produce the DVDS.  Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Waterloo Iowa is allowing use of their facilities where they have a professional multi-media chapel where Dr. Rich Vanheukelum produces his seminary class videos. Hispanic Baptist Church in Waterloo is a BCP church plant that will be sending several men to attend the class as it is taught live.

Thank you for praying for this opportunity as we trust God to multiply the efforts and to provide finances for the costs of future courses.
